Dear China Pals,
I had a great time listening to your story. My favorite part was how you spoke English and Chinese. The drawings were fantastic. The way you all wrote your story that was based on a quote was amazing. It must have taken a lot of work to learn English. Thank you!

To Cindy, Annie, Jason, and Wendy,
I liked your story about Sung-Yow. Thank you for translating the story into English. I thought the drawings were fabulous. What was your favorite part of the story?

To our Taiwanese friends,
I really liked the part of your story when the people did not believe Sung-Yow when he said, “if I paint eyes on the dragon he will fly away.” Then Sung–Yow painted eyes on the dragon and the dragon flew away. After that everyone believes him and he became a very famous artist. We were all a little confused about the part that said at the end about the meaning of the story and the meaning of the title. But we think we figured it out.
Thank you!

To our Chinese friends,

Thank you, that story was great to hear in both Chinese and English. I really enjoyed the story. It would be great if I could do the same things that Sung-Yow could. Don't you think that it would be great to have the same talents as Sung-Yow? What was your favorite part of the story?

Your pen pal,
Ryan

Dear Chinese friends,
I really enjoyed the presentation you made. The part that interested me the most is when you told us that Song-Yow was a special artist because he could make drawings come alive. I also liked that you put the story in both Chinese and English so we could understand the slide show better. By the way what was your favorite part?

I liked your story a lot. I liked it because it talks about dragons. I like dragons. My favorite part was the dragon pictures. They were my favorite because dragons are cool. I’m wondering who drew the pictures?

Dear Chinese friends,
The story you wrote was very intriguing. The illustrations were the best! I liked the part where the character drew eyes on the dragon and it came off the wall and flew away. You are all really good at story writing and drawing. I hope you post some new stuff soon. I’ll be looking forward to it!

Dear fellow friends,

I enjoyed your story. It was very compelling. I treasured the pictures and once again the voices in both languages! I appreciate that you took the time to do that, and draw all the pictures.
I was not on the voices for our story because I was absent that day. I hope we will make another story so you can hear my voice. I hope to talk to you soon!!!! Your friend, Ashley
